Backyard Birds

We have seen so many varieties of birds in our back yard here in Sonoma County!

Not only do we have a large variety that regularly live in our yard or the trees behind the fence, but we also have barn owls and at least one great horned owl who live in the trees and barn behind us. We also have the occasional great heron or egret coming to look for a snack in the pond!

*These are just some of the birds we've been able to get photos of. I am trying to start identifying them, but I am aware my IDs may not be accurate! I have been using the Merlin Bird ID App by CornellLab to identify the birds in the yard by sound and it is so fun!
