When I first created DaveAndHeidi.com over 25 years ago, the internet was still in its early days — smartphones didn't exist yet, and it wasn't easy to search for local resources online. That's why we added pages for things like Sonoma County links, Northern California campground ratings, and more.

This site originally started as a way to share information about our upcoming wedding in 2001. Some friends of ours had a website where they posted party and event photos, and we loved the idea — so we decided to keep our own site going as an online photo album (this was long before social media!). We've shared photos from all of our travels, so you may even find some helpful trip ideas — and there's a search box at the bottom of the site if you're looking for something in particular.

I built this site in plain HTML when I first learned web design back in the late '90s. It's extremely outdated and not mobile-friendly — but with over 8,000 pages, I'll never have time to modernize it! These days, I'm still designing websites, and they've definitely come a long way & you can see my more recent work at webg1rl.com.

This old website might seem silly to some, but to us, it's a time capsule. Our kids — and hopefully even our grandkids — will be able to look back and remember all the fun we had together as a family.
